Welcome to Bordeaux International School!
We are proud to welcome you to our bilingual international school, founded in 1987 and operating as a SCOP (Educational Cooperative) since 1999, where education meets cultural diversity to shape open-minded global citizens. Located in the heart of Bordeaux, a city renowned for its history, culture, and dynamism, our school provides a stimulating and inclusive environment for students from all backgrounds.

The BIS SCOP, founded by Christine Cussac, is a virtuous organisation built on a collaborative and democratic model. Employees are associates and actively contribute to strategic decisions following the principle of "one person, one vote." This structure fosters collective work and situates the organization within an ethical and sustainable framework.
Our passionate and experienced teachers focus on academic excellence while fostering creativity, intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and personal growth in each student. Through innovative teaching methods and small class sizes (16 students per class), we create a dynamic learning environment where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential.
As an international school, we value diversity and celebrate the different cultures represented within our school community. We encourage intercultural exchanges and offer unique opportunities for our students to develop a global understanding of the world around them.
Whether you are a local or international family, we invite you to visit our website to learn more about our educational program, our values, and our facilities.
We look forward to welcoming you and supporting your children on their educational journey."
– Luci Bergey and Isabelle Bidalun, Co-directors of Bordeaux International School
