WELCOME TO A CALM COLLEGE APPLICATION PROCESS
Named for our beloved coastal California redwoods, Sequoia
sempervirens, Sempervirens College Counseling is sort of like your nearby state
park: there when needed as a patient, steady, and reliable resource to help you
and your family navigate the 2020s version of the path to college. Hiking boots
not required.
Drawing on nearly eight years of advising over 700 individual
college applicants, I am fiercely dedicated to supporting a focused (read:
intentionally small) community of students and families by providing highly
individualized college counseling throughout the college application process.

I help high school students and their families navigate the
complexities of the ever-evolving college admissions landscape
amidst a world of fast-evolving tech, social progress, climate
change, and geopolitical transformation. I have worked individually
with over 700 high school students (and their families!), and I
offer comprehensive college counseling services beginning in a
student's 10th grade fall. I offer free one-hour Zoom consultations;

Sempervirens College Counseling is located on Ohlone land in Huchiun,
the ancestral homeland of the Confederated Villages of Lisjan, now
known as the East Bay in present-day Northern California. I donate
5% of all profits: 1% each to Native and Indigenous tribes and
organizations, Black-owned businesses, nonprofits serving the LGBTQ+
community, organizations supporting veterans of the U.S. Armed
Forces, and efforts to conserve and protect the natural environment
of our shared planetary home.
